Flip and Twist pretty much describes what Paul Christy teaches his young gymnastics aged 7-12 every Sunday afternoon at Park Junior School.
Paul, a fitness instructor and an award winning gymnast himself, volunteers his time to teach 15 aspiring gymnasts the delights of twisting and flipping in the air.
Paul says of his young gymnasts "they all are really enthusiastic and I find it difficult to send them home at the end of the session as they love their sport so much".
Flip and Twist Clubs are nationwide but finding a trained volunteer to run them can be difficult so Stonehouse is very lucky to have Paul Christy. Our Club has been keen to sustain this sport for the young people of Stonehouse by funding new floor mats - to ensure everyone has a softer landing.
The photo shows one of his pupils in full flight!
