Craignish enjoys 20th boat jumble and boot sale

-

This year was the 20th anniversary of the annual Craignish boat jumble and car boot sale which was started back in 1999 as a low-key one-off fundraising event for Craignish Boat Club. The success of the first event encouraged the organisers to try

it the following year and now, 20 years on, it is an established event in the calendar attracting buyers and sellers from all over Scotland and raising funds for Craignish Community Company (C3).

Last Saturday organisers were lucky to

have a lovely day which brought around 200 people out to Ardfern on the hunt for ‘boaty’ bargains – and there were plenty of these, ranging from complete boats to rope to lifejackets and loads of ‘useful bits’.

None of this could have happened without a large team of volunteers including reception and catering staff, soup makers and car park attendants who, between them, helped to raise just over £1,000 for C3.
