On Saturday, April 5, the Mora fifth-grade girls’ basketball team participated in the Region 4 Pacesetter Tournament at East Central High School. In pool play the team played three 1/2 games for seeding purposes and won all three to get the No. 1 seed.

Then in tournament play Mora played No. 4 seeded Hinckley/Finlayson and won by a wide margin. In the championship game Mora played No. 2 seeded Pine City. In a very close game Mora won 22-19.

With the Region 4 Championship the team will participate in the Pacesetter State Championships to be held on Sunday, June 15 at the College of St. Ben's in St. Joseph. There will be seven other region champions from around the state participating. The top two teams in the state tournament will get to play at Target Center later in the summer.
