CENTER VALLEY - Allana Powlette of Stroudsburg placed first in the girls 5K race at the Centaur Invitational at Desales University with a time of 19:46 on Saturday. Stroudsburg finished sixth out of 22 schools competing at the girls meet. Amy Conboy and Taylor Garrett finished first and second in the freshman 5K for Stroudsburg.

In the boys meet, Stroudsburg finished in 10th place and ES South came in 15th. Teddy Mostellar placed 20th with a time of 17:19 and Zach Landvik-Larsen won the boys freshman 5K with a time of 18:33 for Stroudsburg.

1975 East Stroudsburg team honored

EAST STROUDSBURG - On Friday night, the 1975 East Stroudsburg high school football team, who went undefeated and won the Centennial League Championship, was honored and inducted into the East Stroudsburg Athletic Hall of Fame. The East Stroudsburg Hall of Fame program is a charitable and educational non-profit organization that was instituted in 2002 to recognize those who have brought honor and prestige to the East Stroudsburg Area School District.

Those inducted into the Hall of Fame class of 2014-15 were: Dave Beck, Jim Booth, Dave Clement, Wade Cross, Carl Dailey, Jim Devaney, Wayne Dickison, Daryl Eppley, Steve Flanagan, Tom Grayuski, Tim Harris, Ernie Isom, Steve Jones, Randy Litts, Ron Litts, Don McCracken, Terry Miller, Tom Read, Lou Seneca, Bryan Shields, Robert Stout, Keith Witman, Head Coach Dick Merring and Assistant coach Jim Reynolds.

The team was honored at half time in the ES South and PM East football game. The 2015 season for ES South marks the 40th anniversary of the 1975 undefeated season.    

Stroudsburg Hall of Fame game

STROUDSBURG - This week's football game between Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg South on Saturday, Sept. 19 will be Stroudsburg's Hall of Fame game. 

The three inductees into this year's HOF class are two former coaches Ralph Avino and Bill White as well as former swimmer Sarah Keeley.

Avino coached at Stroudsburg for over 30 years and White coached for over 40 years.
