BUTLER CHALLENGE CUP CHAMPIONSHIP

Chicagoland's first 10-Goal polo tournament of the 2023 Season comes to a close with the championship match of hte prestigious Butler Challenge Cup. Local teams from the surrounding area competed over the past week at various polo clubs and got a firts glimpse of this year's competition. The winner of the Butler Challenge Cup will give early bragging rights before competing in the next tournament.

The Butler Challenge Cup is a beautiful sterling silver cup provided by the Butler Family in honor and celebration of the family that founded the Oak Brook Polo Club in 1922 and Village of Oak Brook in 1958. Known in polo circiles as the "Town That Polo Built".

In addition to the afternoon match, the Friends of Conservation will be hosting their annual Benefit Luncheon and Afternoon of Polo. Founded in 1982, FOC was one of the world's earliest leaders in the development of community conservation. It has been actively engaging in the participation of communities in the Masai Mara area of Kenya since 1988 - planning, decision-making and implementing actions and policies relating to natural resources management and capacity building. Today, this continues to be the FOC's mission - changing attitudes of local people and officials towards sustainable natural resources management.
