What is is there to do?

Dickens World takes visitors on a fascinating journey through Dickens' lifetime as they step back into Dickensian England and are immersed in the urban streets, sounds and smells of the 19th Century. Attractions include the Great Expectations dark boat ride, the Haunted Man, Dotheboy's Hall Victorian School Room with touch screen technology, a 4D high-definition cinema show in Peggotty's Boathouse, the Britannia Theatre - an animatronic stage show introducing you to some of Dickens' characters and Fagin's Den, a soft play area for younger visitors.

What sort of families will enjoy it here?

Dickens World is perfect for those six to 86. Plenty to see and do it is ideal, educational fun for all the family.

How do we get there?

It is 14 miles east of Junction 2, M25. and signposted from junctions 1,3 and 4 of the M2. Just follow the brown tourist anchor signs.

How much will it cost?

Adults £12.50, children (aged five to 15) £7.50, concessions (students or seniors) £10.50.

Opening times and dates?

Open daily from 10am to 6pm. Last admission 4pm.

What about lunch?

There is a coffee shop and restaurant on site and there are several other branded restaurants on the complex.

Are there any special events or occasions to look out for?

An additional live theatre show of Oliver Twist opens on July 15 and will be performed six days a week.
