It is the highest ever number of clubs receiving support from Ulster GAA in a single year, with the total award amounting to almost €700,000.

The aim of the scheme is to assist clubs in the improvement and development of their physical infrastructure, with capital works completed between 01/10/2021 and 30/09/2023 eligible for support.

Ulster GAA Treasurer, Declan Woods commented: “Our clubs carry out tremendous work in terms of delivering physical developments for their members and communities, and Ulster GAA is delighted to recognise these efforts by supporting this record number of applications.

“The GAA is proud of the continuous redistribution of its income to grass roots causes throughout the country. Every year, 83 cent of every euro goes back out into clubs to help fund developments such as infrastructure projects.

“The funding provided through this scheme highlights the ambition and vision of the clubs within our nine counties to improve facilities for future generations.”

The scheme funding is led by Central Council GAA, and the following areas of development were considered for support:

- Purchase of Grounds

- Pitch Development

- Spectator Accommodation

- Pavilion Development

- Additional/Sustainable Infrastructure Development

- Pitch Verti-Draining
