On Saturday, a Charity Netball match at the Chilcompton sports ground in memory of Shelley Bridges, who sadly lost her life to cancer after a long, hard battle in December.

The event was supported by her family and friends, and raised £1,200 pounds for two charities, Macmillan Cancer Support and NICU Forever Friends.

Well done to Shelley’s Heroes (the Bridges family) and the F. Genies (Chilcompton Netball Club) – it was a great afternoon and strongly contested netball match, with a barbecue afterwards.

Watch out for future events to win the Shelley Challenge Cup.
