The weather has once again played its topsy turvy hand, although the ladies managed a dry game on Tuesday at home to Frome Park, annoyingly losing by one shot.

The Mens MSL on Wednesday was a mixed bag with the ‘A’ teams game against Paulton cancelled because of the forecast of foul weather whilst the’B’ team took a gamble and our game at home to Frome Selwood went ahead on a lovely dry evening, unfortunately we lost 2-10.

On Thursday our ladies travelled to Weston, Bath and won by 10 shots on one rink and lost by 10 shots on the other to end in a draw.

Our internal Triples league is coming to an end for this season, it has been hugely successful and played in a light hearted, fun manner, we will miss the splendid after game meals served up by Yvonne, thank you and to Len for organising.

On Saturday the monsoon rains returned and our ‘B’ & ‘ C’ teams games away to Keynsham ‘A’ & ‘B’ had to be cancelled, whilst on the other side of the Mendips our ‘A’ team game went ahead against Street ending in defeat for Purnell 11-1.

Hopefully summer will return soon, fingers crossed. Our open morning for indoor bowling on Sunday was very successful with several new bowlers trying their hand, a few people have expressed an interest but were unable to make this event.
