Doncaster Lakers go into round four of the Carnegie Challenge Cup after the RFL ruled that their abandoned tie against Queens should not be replayed.

Leeds amateur side Queens say they are "aggrieved" at the decision but will not appeal. Saturday's tie was halted just after the hour when trouble flared between rival fans at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium.

Doncaster were leading 16-12 when referee Bob Everitt took the teams off. It is believed to be the first rugby league game abandoned due to fan violence since 1944.

Queens secretary Dougie Smithson said: "We're aggrieved we didn't get a replay, especially with so much time left."
