What’s your favorite way to eat matzo?

matzos-with-butter-and-salt

Let’s pretend for the sake of argument that some of you might have a giant five pound box of matzo (matzos, matzoh…) in your house this week because it just so happened to be on sale pretty cheap at a local grocery store. This is the place for you to share your favorite uses for matzo!

What is your favorite way to eat matzo?

Me, I like mine simple with just a little butter and sea salt (this is unsalted matzo, so you’ll want to add it!).

Hold it in your hand when buttering, because if you try to butter it on a plate it is likely to shatter. It’s also good with some lox, onion, & cream cheese, but what isn’t, really?

Now, my kids’ favorite way to eat matzo is, of course, Matzo Crack. Fair warning: This stuff is pretty darn addictive.

These Everything but the Bagel Matzo Crackers are also kind of fun, and super quick to make.

You turn: What is YOUR Favorite Way to eat matzo?

Please comment with your favorite matzo recipes, uses, combinations… Go! 🙂

I love when Rachel's Mom makes an appearance here! :) And, I did not even want free matzah until I followed feelgood's link to all those recipes...uh oh.

I LOVE matzah! ...A cheap, quick pizza is to smear matzah with a couple of squirts of Pizza Quick, shredded cheese and toppings of choice. Heat in toaster oven until cheese is melted. ...I think there's a recipe for matzah S'mores floating around somewhere. ...scoop up your favorite Salsa with matzah. ..."bread" your chicken with matzah. ...matzah stuffing Going to have som matzah & peanut butter now. Mm mm....Matzah! Rachel's Mom

Yes, here is a recipe for matzoh S'mores. It's #22 of the "25 Delicious Ways To Use Matzoh" article which I wrote about in an earlier post:

Please don't confuse Passover and Easter -- they are completely different holidays. Just curious why you are buying more, though, if you don't celebrate the holiday and don't enjoy the product? :)

And no, it's not an error. It's an advertised deal because the holiday is coming up -- just like, for instance, SavingStar was offering free Cadbury eggs around Easter or we get super cheap turkey for Thanksgiving.

Only eating unleavened bread (Matzo) is required just during the 7 days of Passover. My favorite way to eat it is fried with sauteed onions.
