Maidenhead Thicket Bowls Club re-opened their outdoor green on Sunday, with matches involving 45 bowlers.
Members old and new enjoyed playing on the green which has been worked on by Paul Worthy and his in-house team over the winter months.
Club president Bill Hing got proceedings underway alongside captains Tom Hanks and Sheila Gwilliam.
Several friendly matches were played between club members before they sat down for a post-match tea and a fine array of cakes provided by David and Maggie Scrace.
The club has a full fixture list of competitive and friendly matches to look forward to over the summer months and are keen to encourage new players to join the club.
For more information visit www.maidenheadthicketbowls.org or feel free to come down and watch when the club is open. It's situated behind the Shire Horse pub on Bath Road (A4) just past the A404 as you head out of Maidenhead towards Reading.
