Join us - a warm welcome awaits
LSARC is a friendly club with a diverse mix of members. What we do all have in common is a love of the great outdoors and a sociable drink or two with a meal at the end of the day! (Sorry, no dogs allowed.)
We have a variety of guided walks on the first and third Sunday of each month – all year round. Coach transport is provided costing £15 per walk and there are a number of pick-up points from St Annes through Lytham, Warton, Freckleton and Kirkham to Wesham – you choose the most convenient to you. You will need to bring a packed lunch, hot/cold drinks and appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for a day out on the fells. We will provide you with a checklist. After the walks, we are transferred to our chosen meal venue (you will be asked to choose your meal in advance of the walk and pay at the venue). |

How hard are the walks?
To help our members choose the best walk for them, our walks are graded into 4 categories, A to D, with A being the most challenging. All walks will be led by an experienced leader who knows the area and will usually have done a recce before the actual day of the walk.
All walks include a couple of breaks for drinks (more in hot weather) plus a break for lunch. If weather conditions get bad, the leader will have a plan to get you down safely – even cutting short the walk if necessary. |
