What does the term "niche sport" mean to you? Interested to get some people's thoughts on this. I have spent much of my career in and around sports and leagues that would be considered below the elite - rugby league, non league football, British basketball, ice hockey. As I look for my next steps, I wondered whether there was a way I could group or highlight having that intimate knowledge and experience. Don't get me wrong, I still love (and would work in!) the (for want of a better word) elite sports (top level football, rugby union, cricket etc) but trying to find ways I can play to my strengths and make the most of it. But can any football be described as "niche"? Is every sport niche? Is it unfair to group the sports I've mentioned as niche?
