Delighted to begin my new role today as Club Manager of Coventry & North Warwickshire Sports Club. The club represents the lifeblood and generations of sport and social history within the city and is embedded with unique heritage and values. Looking forward to the challenges ahead and connecting with the local community as we hopefully enter the final stretch of the pandemic.

📣 It's National Supported Internship Day and we are celebrating our Support Internship students! Our students have had opportunities to work with Severn Trent Water, EVTEC, West Midlands Police, CV life and many more great organisations with some opportunities to go on to permanent paid jobs afterwards. We focus on the future goals of those who come to Hereward College and for some students the Supported Internship can be exactly the supported work experience they need to develop their skills in the workplace for the future. After a few days to reflect, Tuesday is up there with one of the best days I’ve experienced since working at C&NWSC! We welcomed the Bears who took on a Warwickshire League XI and what a spectacle it was 🏏 🐻 70 local children, most from our HAF programme, received high quality coaching, signed bats & free match tickets from Warwickshire County Cricket Club. A wonderful touch 👌 Another standout was the sheer graft from the bar & operations team, groundsman & volunteers. I’ve learnt there are lots of unsung heroes at clubs like ours, they go above and beyond and keep the place ticking, hats off to you all 👏 The day epitomised exactly what we’ve been working towards; community-focused, family-friendly & inspiring the next generation ✅ Images captured by Michael Malby & Matt Davenport 📸 👌 #HAF #community #t20cricket #YouBears

Special weekend with this group securing promotion 🏆⚽️ Days like Saturday don’t come around too often. Being 2-0 down at half time to then go on and win the game 3-2 to win the league, shows the character & grit this team have had all season. Proper football club full of wonderful people who deserve to see Atherstone Town FC climbing back up the ladder. Time to enjoy the last few games 🙌🏼 Up the Adders 🐍❤️

New team of staff recruited ✅ Bar refurb completed ✅ Starting to connect with the local community ✅ The last 3 months have been truly challenging, stepping out of my comfort zone and implementing lots of change. It’s important to reflect on the positives and keep focused on the long term goal. We’re moving in the right direction in making the club community oriented and accessible to all. Time for a weeks holiday to switch off and recharge the batteries ✈️☀️🔋
