What would it mean to you as a local community, if you had ownership and control of your own permanently affordable housing portfolio, that was also designed to the specific needs of your community… For the people, by the people? How would you feel as a community knowing that you not only had a voice at the table in the shaping of your local built environment, but you were the people behind the wheel, sitting in the drivers seat? How transformational would it be for your community to be able to generate generational equity and wealth, for the future of your people? "A community land trust is a non-profit organisation that holds title to property to deliver permanently affordable housing and community benefit. Birmingham Cost-of-Living Information Advice Guidance Fund Birmingham City Council are working with Heart of England Community Foundation to provide Cost-of-Living Information Advice Guidance funding Grants of up to £50,000 are available for projects up to 12 months Services need to be linked/located with Warm Welcome spaces, community centres, food banks with priority areas targeted – it’s not too late to become a Warm Welcome space! Supporting the regions - applications open for local community grants! The Albanese Government is supporting the continued recovery from COVID-19 in the regions, with up to $10,000 available to community groups across regional, remote and rural Australia. The Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal’s (FRRR) Strengthening Rural Communities program provides grants of up to $10,000 to support local organisations to uplift their communities following significant disruption from COVID-19. Grants could be for initiatives such as workshops, education programs or improving facilities and community equipment. The last round, delivered in November, saw 55 local-led projects across the country shared in over $470,000 in grants. The Albanese Government has invested $5 million from 2022 to 2024 in the Rebuilding Regional Communities stream of the FRRR’s Strengthening Rural Communities program. 🌟 Making an Impact Together! 🌟 United Way of the Alberta Capital Region worked with United Way Centraide Canada as part of the Government of Canada’s Community Services Recovery Fund to help community service organizations adapt their programs and services through pandemic recovery and beyond. $4.7 million in funding was allocated to power 63 impactful projects across Alberta Capital Region, the Lloydminster Region, and underserved areas in northern Alberta. The Community Services Recovery Fund is a $400 million initiative aimed at helping community service organizations adapt, modernize, and improve their services for a more effective, accessible, and sustainable future. Our journey wouldn't have been possible without our dedicated team and the 29 incredible volunteer reviewers. Together, we evaluated over 100 applications from various sectors, including arts, sports and recreation, health, and more. We were committed to ensuring that Black- and Indigenous-led organizations and smaller grassroots groups had a voice in this process. ⚡️ Together with the Western NIS Enterprise Fund, we are announcing a #grant competition for #communities for the development of community centers! ⭐️ Community building centers are accessible physical spaces where people from different social groups have the opportunity to meet and gather for joint leisure time, community development, cooperation and comprehensive realization of their human potential. The amount of the grant is UAH 1,000,000 and involves two conditions: 1) physical creation or renovation of community building centers 2) programmatic and substantive (event) filling of the centers. On a competitive basis, 10 grants in the amount of UAH 1,000,000 each will be awarded. During the implementation of the project, #hromadas will receive consulting and expert support from mentors with expertise in architecture, as well as culture, communications and social interaction. Applications are accepted from civil society organizations (officially registered public #NGO, charitable organizations).
