What should be the Ideal Size for a Badminton Court? As a sports infrastructure consultant and flooring expert, I'm frequently approached with a question: What is the ideal size for a badminton court as per BWF (Badminton World Federation) standards, including the safe area? Today, I'm here to provide insights on this crucial topic! According to BWF regulations, an ideal badminton court should measure 13.4 meters (44 feet) in length and 6.1 meters (20 feet) in width for singles matches. For doubles matches, the width remains the same, but the length increases to 13.4 meters (44 feet) on the sides and 6.1 meters (20 feet) at the back. Furthermore, BWF emphasizes the importance of a safe area surrounding the court. The recommended safe area should be at least 2 meters (6.6 feet) on all sides. This space ensures player safety, allowing for free movement and minimizing the risk of collisions with surrounding barriers. By adhering to BWF's guidelines for court size and safe area, you're creating an optimal environment for competitive badminton, where players can showcase their skills to the fullest. Remember, precise court dimensions are the backbone of badminton excellence! 🏸 #BadmintonCourtStandards #SportsInfrastructure #GameOn #msgindia #sports #msgsportinfratek #infrastructure #badminton
