This is a massive leap from India's 22.4% share in the previous cycle, marking an approx 72% increase. All other cricket boards take home revenue in single-digit percentages. This underscores India's significance in world cricket. 🌍 But it wasn't always like this. There were times when BCCI President NKP Salve couldn't secure two extra tickets for the 1983 World Cup final. It's a reminder of how far BCCI and Indian cricket have come. From paying guarantee money for teams to tour, the Indian team is now the most sought-after. I still remember those Australian and NZ tours in the early 2000s, I used to open my television set early in the morning only to get disappointed. India now dominates teams like Australia and NZ on most occasions irrespective of venues. Without the Indian players, T20 leagues outside of the IPL struggle to generate solid revenue. Indian cricket's influence is not just limited to the game. Infrastructure has also seen massive improvements.
