This week’s Community Club of the Week, which is supported by our key partners Mears, is Drighlington ARLFC.
Drighlington ARLFC are a family orientated club who welcome players of all ages and abilities enabling them to participate in our opinion the greatest sport in the world!
The club has been in existence for a number of years and strive to be a hub for the health and wellbeing of the whole community. Our age groups are minis to open age.
It is with great pleasure that our Under 7s are able to play on the same pitch as the professional’s courtesy of Sky Try.
The side is made up of a mixture of backgrounds, abilities, both boys and girls, who have some experience of rugby league and others who have never played before.
As a club we promote healthy, competitive sport, ensuring the children understand the importance of sportsmanship and behaviour and that winning is not the most important aspect of the game.
We continue to attract more children from within the local community and show them what rugby league has to offer and hopefully help them progress and grow to reach their full potential both on and off the field, showing respect to all.
Our primary aim is enjoyment, so enjoy training, play the game but most of all HAVE FUN.
