YOUNGSTERS have been bowled over at a North East Wales club.
Pupils from a school in Flint have been introduced to the world of bowls in taster sessions at Flint Coleshill Bowling Club.
There were two sessions at the club for pupils from St Mary's Catholic Primary School.
"They all enjoyed it and the headmaster and teaching staff were very impressed with our set-up," said Flint Coleshill Bowling Club chairman Brian Carroll.
Earlier this year, the club gained the support of Tesco in an initiative to offer children the chance of trying out crown green bowls.
The club received a £1,000 grant from Tesco community scheme which was used to purchase purpose-made bowls for children to use.
With the grant, the club purchased eight pairs of bowls, in addition to target mats.
Any youngsters wanting to give bowls a go can contact Brian on 07961 626582.
