Are you looking for a sport to do in the summer when hockey finishes? Have you considered lawn bowls?
It's a sport for everyone - not just oldies! Men, women, boys and girls from 12 to 90 can play.

There is an open evening on Thursday 28 March at Kettering Lodge Bowls Club - opposite the bus station in Kettering, not far from the hockey club.

It's a bit early to play outside, the season starts in early May, so it's indoor bowling at the moment.

All you need is a pair of clean, flat-soled shoes/trainers. No other equipment or clothing is required.

So why not come along and have a go? Experienced players will be on hand to show you the ropes. You can bring parents, friends and relatives too - the more the merrier.

And if you need any more incentive, the bar will be open too!
