Around 400 children grabbed their hockey sticks and took part in the latest Medway Mini Youth Games competition

Around 400 children grabbed their hockey sticks and took part in the latest Medway Mini Youth Games competition.

A total of 41 schools were involved in the hockey tournament which was hosted by Holcombe Hockey Club, Rochester.

The winners were from Lordswood Junior School who incredibly didn’t a lose a game all day or concede any goals.

Runners-up were Walderslade Primary, who were also the best-placed small school, with St Mary’s Island Primary, Chatham, coming third. The fair play title went to Twydall Primary.

Next up in the mini youth games is the badminton which takes place at Medway Park, Gillingham, on Thursday, November 26.
