Club Women’s Indoor Festivals: Registration Open

Friday 11th November 2022

Kent Cricket are excited to announce registration for the Women’s Club Indoor Festivals in the new year is now open.

The indoor festivals will offer 6-a-side women’s club teams the chance to compete in either softball or hardball cricket festivals, in a fun, yet competitive, environment, across February and March 2023.

The festivals will run either at Christchurch University in Canterbury (East) or North Kent College in Dartford (West). The festivals are on a first come first served basis and we ask you to only book one club team per festival for now. If there are any gaps after a suitable period, we will notify clubs and enable you to register further teams.

It is important to note that the women’s softball festivals are focused purely on participation, social and enjoyment. The women’s hardball festivals will have a lot of the same attributes, but with a more competitive, performance edge. Therefore, if you have players experienced with hardball, the softball offer isn’t for them. We do, however, understand the need to get teams out playing and that often players can play appropriately for the purpose/level of each game whilst making up a side.

The festivals will cost clubs £45 per team per festival to enter, which is max £7.50 per player, for 4 hours of cricket.

Although branded as ‘Women’s’ festivals, we have set the minimum age to be 14 years (as of 1st September 2022). For players any younger than that age group, we have U12 (Softball) & U14 (Hardball) Girls’ Club Indoor Festivals running (3 x Softball, 2 x Hardball). To enter a girls’ club team, please email David Sear who is co-ordinating these festivals separately.
