Helsby tennis club offers the local community a meeting place for many diverse groups to come together to enjoy the game of tennis, welcoming adults and children of all abilities. The tennis coach Mike Herd runs coaching for adults and children throughout the year. He is an inspiration with the local youngsters and runs great popular programmes and school holiday camps.

A few of the members, including myself together with the support of our coach, have decided to organise and take part in a 12 hour ‘tennisathon’ to raise money for the well deserving Clatterbridge Hosptial cancer charity, which we mutually decided would be the beneficiary for our fundraising.
We all aim to be involved for the full 12 hours of continuous play, and we are all working really hard to get sponsors etc to make the day a success, so any help you can give us would be gratefully received.
