Warm welcome at bowling club

Action from the bowling friendly that took place in the Park Pavillion in Aughrim.

MEMBERS OF the Park Pavilion Bowling Club, Aughrim enjoyed a wonderful weekend recently when they hosted Blaina Bowls Club from Abertillery in Wales.

The teams participated in a friendly match at the Pavilion, Rednagh Road in weather conditions.

The game was played over the best of 21 ends. Aughrim Club Captain Francis Cullen presented the visiting captain with a plaque to commemorate the

glorious visit to the community.

Later in the evening the guests were entertained in the Pavilion by the Ladies Committee which provided delicious refreshments. A great day was enjoyed by all.
