FREE “have a go” Korfball session 

On Sunday the 21st October Sport Imperial will be offering a free Korfball session in Ethos Sports Centre.

Korfball is a sport that is growing in popularity accross Europe and we are looking to create a team to enter into the BUCS championships start in in November.

Here is some basic info on the game:

• Korfball is a mixed team sport; four boys and four girls make a team.
• Girls defend girls and boys defend boys for fairness during play.
• To score you can shoot from 360 degrees around the Korf (Basket)
• The Korf is 3.5m from the ground, that is 0.5m above a basketball ring and no backboard, so its a bit trickier to score but easier than you think.
• No running or dribbling with the ball.
• No physical contact during the game
• You cant shoot while being defended- this makes the game fast and exciting; all about tactics.
