About HT Sports
Founded in 1974 by well-known local sportsman Henry Tilly, HT Sports has grown throughout the years.
Its original strengths were cricket & school sportswear but on his retirement in 1996 the family run Minerva Football Company purchased HT Sports and with their huge influence in the football world have enabled HT Sports to expand the football side of the business.
Minerva Football Company was founded in 1955 by Adrian Metselaar and over the years his five sons joined the company. The famous Minerva branded football was used at Tottenham Hotspur's White Hart Lane for nearly 30 years, West Ham's Upton Park for 25 years and Newcastle United's St. James Park for nearly 10 years.
The Minerva football was chosen many times for England Internationals and FA Cup Finals notably Sunderland vs Leeds in 1973 and UEFA Cup Final Spurs vs Anderlecht 1984.
The five brothers John, Paul, Richard, Roy and Stuart have, with their sporting background knowledge, made HT Sports a specialist supplier of sports goods and apparel.
As a major independent supplier to schools and sports clubs of Nike, Errea, I-PRO, Umbro, Mitre, Gilbert, Stanno, Givova, Grays, Acerbis and Gray Nicolls, HT Sports can offer both quality and product expertise which might not be on offer from the big multiples.
In order to maintain the ultimate customer service, HT Sports have introduced 'in house' embroidery and printing systems. This has enabled us to offer a speedy & reliable service to all our valued customers including schools, football clubs & corporate companies.
The Head Office / Showroom is based in St. Albans in Hertfordshire.
