Anglo-American actress Gayle Hunnicutt (1943-2023) played sexpot roles in American
films, including Marlowe (1969), before moving to England with her first husband, actor
David Hemmings. In Britain she had a wider range of roles in TV movies like the period
dramas The Golden Bowl (1972) and Fall of Eagles (as Tsarina Alexandra, 1974). During
her second marriage to journalist Sir Simon Jenkins (1978-2009), she was called Lady
Jenkins. Her stage roles include the title role in a 1979 production of Peter Pan. Hunnicutt
returned to the US to play Vanessa Beaumont in Dallas (1989-1991). Pencil note (unknown
