Gym in Waterloo said to be the largest in Huddersfield
A new Huddersfield gym has opened its doors to the public following a £4m investment.
The BigBox Leisure Club gym has opened in the former Total Fitness gym at Waterloo, Huddersfield, which closed due to the effect of the Covid pandemic lockdown. The new gym is thought to be the largest in Huddersfield and has been described as a 'family friendly' facility.
BigBox says the gym's facilities are opening in phases. Monday this week saw the opening of the thermal suite. January 13/14 will see the 'bootcamp' opening weekend, and the bouldering wall will also be open from that weekend.
The club features a 25m pool, a thermal spa, 150 gym stations, a ladies only gym, a spin studio, bouldering wall, and more. The gym is owned by Jamie Lyne and Simon Ryan and was recently opened by former Huddersfield Giants player Eorl Crabtree.
