University Lacrosse Clubs raise money for vital causes

University of Nottingham Lacrosse Wear it Pink

University of Nottingham Lacrosse Club were wearing pink on a recent club social in support of Breast Cancer Now's wear it pink campaign.

“Wear it Pink” day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK and aims to raise awareness surrounding breast cancer.

Many members of the club and committee participated in the charity theme and dressed accordingly, donning various shades of fuchsia and cerise!

The club now turns its attention to their annual Movember campaign, with many men’s lacrosse players approaching the end of their month-long moustache growing missions!

University of Derby Run for Alzheimer’s

University of Derby Lacrosse Club recently completed a charity 5k run, at Alton Towers, in support of Alzheimer's Research UK.

The UK’s biggest theme park hosted the event on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th November, with people participating in 5k, 10k, and half marathon runs around the park over the duration of the weekend.

All those involved were also rewarded with free ride passes after completing their run!

Several Derby University lacrosse players ran alongside the Derby University Geological Society, in partnership with the university’s Union of Students.
