End Of Season Game
The annual end of season game took place on Saturday 5th September between the winners of the Blyth Valley Veterans League (Cowpen & Crofton) and a representative  side consisting of teams of 3 from the following clubs Alexandra Park, Astley Park, Bedlington, Cramlington, Newbiggin and Seaton Sluice.

As winners of the league Cowpen and Crofton hosted the event. Played under near perfect weather conditions and with the supply of copious amounts of tea, coffee and biscuits supplied by members from Cowpen & Crofton throughout the day the competition got underway.

It was obvious from the start that C&C had turned out a very strong and competitive team however the side representing the rest of the league from Cramlington didn’t let C&C have it all their own way going on to win their rink, sadly for the rest of the league this was not repeated on the other 5 rinks  C&C going on to win the game by 10 – 2 with a very high shot difference. My thanks to Cowpen and Crofton for hosting the event the green looked superb and clearly your members must have been up early to set up all of the rinks a great start to an enjoyable day.
