Constantine (3*):  2 to 3 feet

A fiery sunrise is bounding over the other horizon to front light a couple of feet off of ribbed but peaky and peeling surf down in the bays this morning, the tide just starting its six metre journey towards low.
It’s a chillier one but no worse for that, a proper Autumn morning with an almost breathless breeze drifting from the north east, almost offshore.
So, a pleasant enough day for a wet and that water is warm enough too!

Harlyn (0*):  0 to 1 foot

The north easterly breeze is whisper light this morning but it is still having a messing effect as it drifts onshore at a deserted Harlyn this morning.
The waves are tiny, a foot or sometimes two but weak looking and barely breaking.
It’s the other side for a little wave today.

Surf Forecast for Monday 16th October 2023

A freshening north easterly wind is going to be pushing back at what weak and tiny surf there is out there today, making for pretty much flat or almost flat conditions.
If you happen to be at one of those swell magnet places at just the right stage of the tide with just the right floaty enough board to ride then you might just luck into the odd shin high glide or two. But it’s going to feel chilly!

Surf Conditions for the Start of the Week

Offshore winds are likely to be grooming the mainly flat conditions to a frustratingly attractive shape this week, those tiny little ripples having you mind surfing action man sized surfers across the smooth faced but minuscule ripples.
It’ll be the end of the week at least before we see an improvement but then that improvement should be massive! We could be leaping from one extreme to the other as double overhead swells line up and roar through.
But that is a long way off yet and the only waves we are likely to find to ride between now and then will be those lucky finds at the most swell open breaks at just that right moment of the tide!
Stay safe, stay happy, stay well and have a great week, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing!
