A perfect foil: Hawken freshman sweeps the competition for Ohio high school fencing title

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Two-and-a-half years after taking up the sport of fencing, Hawken School freshman Nadia Taylor-Osborn aced her way to a state high school championship last month.

The 15-year-old Shaker Heights resident won all seven of her extended bouts in the junior women’s foil competition to bring home a gold medal March 16 at Upper Arlington High School.
