Badminton club holds training clinic

The training clinic was aimed at younger residents as they are the ones who will help the sport grow.

Esmeralda Badminton Club in collaboration with the Witpoortjie Recreation Centre hosted a training clinic for high school learners of the area.

Magda Hamman from the club explained, “Badminton is a dying sport and there aren’t many children who even know what badminton is or how to play. We want so badly to encourage them to cherish it so they will be the next generation to continue badminton.”
