New Playground For Chieveley

The playground at Chieveley Rec is showing the signs of age.  Although tested regularly for safety, the equipment and surrounds are old and tatty.

The new playground will be on the site of the current one.  We hope to include some of the latest playground equipment and incorporate green credentials where possible.

A hard-working committee has been formed:
Gail Davies; Allin Miles; David Cook; Nicole Coulson; Lesley Derry; Greg Cima; Mark Hutchison.

Our Patron is Mary-Jean Boyd-Carpenter.

A number of organisations have already been very generous.  These include West Berkshire Council, Chieveley Parish Council, Greenham Trust, The Good Exchange, National Lottery and Chieveley Recreation Centre.

The new playground will cost more than £150,000.  We would be very grateful for all donations of whatever size.  If you would like to discuss any aspect of the project or for the Project Leader to drop in please call Mark Hutchison on 07973 553239 or mark@hutch.me

Donation payments are handled by PayPal

November 5th Fireworks

Chieveley puts on a traditional village bonfire and fireworks each year on 5th November. In 2018, we celebrated our 50th Anniversary. This is a major fund-raiser for the village Hall.

Each year around 70 villagers and friends help to make this a high-quality, safe and entertaining event. If you would like to join in, we would welcome your help. Tickets will be available through www.mychieveley.co.uk from late October.
