Haslingden Cricket Club’s main purpose is to provide sporting facilities to encourage youngsters and their families to get involved in sport and community activities. The club’s facilities are also used by local groups for hosting non-cricket related events, private functions and group activities. Our main source of income is from the members bar and function room which provides revenue for the continued provision of sporting facilities and community events.

Our pavilion’s roof, heating and windows need replacing as they are old and no longer fit for purpose, causing both the function room and the members lounge to be cold particularly in the winter. The roof is rotten in places and leaks in wet weather. We need to replace the windows with double glazed units which will improve security and reduce heat loss, install energy efficient warm air conditioning and replace the rotten areas of the roof. If the work is not undertaken the prestige of the function room will be diminished, bookings will reduce and the future of the club will be at risk.

We are seeking funding for the three elements of the refurbishment which are double glazed windows, warm air conditioning and replacement of parts of the roof where the roofing specialist has confirmed it is necessary and we need your support for this funding project by signing this petition.
