Thanks to everyone from Cardonald, Maryhill, Crookston and Yoker Bowling Clubs who took part and helped to make it an enjoyable day.

Hillpark League finals at Crookston Bowling Club today and congratulations go to John Brophy, Jim Whyte and Robert Smith on winning the ‘Hillpark League Triples and also to Kyle Young on winning the ‘Hillpark League Junior Singles’.
A great achievement guys.

3 finals have been played this week.
Kayden Young defeated Ruby Nelson in the U14 singles.
Billy Whyte, Neil McBride and David Elliot won against Mark Russell, Sammy Doyle and Jim Hamilton in the Middleton Triples.
The Mixed Pairs came down to the last bowl at an extra end where Beth McCloy and Grant Middleton edged past Jane and David McCloy.
Well done to all those who were successful and commiserations to the runners up and thanks to everyone who came along for their support.

Many congratulations to Grant Middleton on winning this year’s ‘Championship’ against Andy Weir. This is the the ninth time Grant has won the ‘Championship’ and he continues to set an all club record.
Congratulations also to Eddie Waltham who won the ‘Seniors’ Championship’ against Robert Armstrong and hopefully he can continue this year’s exploits at Northfield into 2023.
Commiserations to the runners up in both games which were played at a fantastically high standard and were a credit to all the players.

Good luck to Leah McCloy who is playing for Scotland in the first ever Youth International event at Ayr Northfield on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th August.
Bowls Scotland are looking forward to participating in our first ever Youth International event at the National Centre for Bowling, Ayr on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th August.

It wasn’t to be for our youngsters in the ‘Youth Championships’ at Northfield.
On a day interrupted by heavy showers, they all played some terrific bowls
and it was a pity they were not able to progress.
It was wonderful to see the real enjoyment and sportsmanship of all the players and it bodes well for the future.
Many congratulations to Kyle Young, Ruby Nelson and Leah McCloy on a great performance.
I am pretty sure that they will be back here in the future.

Many congratulations to Eddie who won his quarter final match this morning only to see his amazing run come to an end in the semi final this afternoon.
Well done on a brilliant achievement Eddie and on getting a bronze medal as well as representing the club so well.

Congratulations to Eddie Waltham (Gents Senior Singles) and Beth McCloy (Ladies Junior Singles) on winning their district final today and qualifying for the Bowls Scotland National Finals at Northfield in July.
Unfortunately it wasn’t to be for Leah McCloy (Ladies Junior Singles), Mark Richmond (Gents Junior Singles), Ladies Fours and Ladies Senior Fours but well done on getting to the final and hopefully next year you can go one better.
