AFTER their first XI took the Premier League crown last weekend, Werrington seconds made it a club double with an emphatic 138-run win over Rosudgeon, in the Division Two final at South Petherwin.

Tom Lyle made 120 and Mark Taylor 60 as Werrington knocked up 298 for seven.

Rosudgeon made 160 in reply with Ben Ellis getting 52 and Mark Waters 47.

Werrington Cricket Club are now in the enviable position of having their top two teams in the two highest leagues — the Premier League and County Division One.

South Petherwin — Werrington 298-7 (T Lyle 120, M Taylor 60; M Skewes 2-45, J Greenwood Penny 2-47), Rosudgeon 160 (B Ellis 52, M Waters 47, M Ellis 27; D Webber 5-46, D Warne 2-25). Werrington beat Rosudgeon by 138 runs.
