Brixton Cycles Club calls itself ‘London’s friendliest cycle club‘ offering group rides with a beer at the end. Catering for all sorts of cycling: road, track, MTB, BMX, Cyclocross, audax, cobbles and the rest. They say that they are predominantly a social club but with a growing a track racing pedigree, securing podium finishes at Crystal Palace, Herne Hill Velodrome and off-road events, among others.
In addition to their regular Sunday Club Run, they organise mid-week training sessions: hills, Regents Park laps and winter chaingang at Herne Hill Velodrome and plenty of socials – “it’s the events we think we do best!” they say.

Founded in 1899, De Laune Cycling Club is one of the oldest cycling clubs in the country; with around 100 members around the south-east of London. A mixed club with a wide range of abilities, activities and ages, the club is involved with all levels of racing – Time-Trials, Track, Off-Road, Road/Circuit, Triathlons and Rollers; as well as Sunday Club Runs and many social functions.

Dulwich Paragon is a friendly cycling club based in South London, dedicated to the serious and sporting cyclist. Road and circuit racing – and training for them – form a major part of our activities. But the club also competes on the track, in time-trials and in cyclo-cross events at all levels. Club members also participate in cyclo-sportives, at home and abroad, and we have some seriously dedicated long distance riders in our ranks.

Lambeth Cyclists is the Lambeth borough branch of the London Cycling Campaign (LCC). They work to promote cycling, improve conditions for cyclists and raise the profile of cycling in the borough. A wealth of knowledge and help for cyclists across the borough, they hold regular rides, maintenance classes, free cycle training sessions and meetings.

Hugely popular, award winning BMX club based in Burgess Park, which has one of the largest BMX tracks in the UK.

Welcoming cyclists of all ages and abilities, they recommend that new riders try out their Sunday rides, which offer a range of rides, with a distance and speed to suit almost everyone. With over 500 members aged between 5 and over 70, activities include competitive rides, a youth Go-Ride section, regular social events and more.

The Southwark branch of the London Cycling Campaign, Southwark Cyclists is a volunteer led group working for “safer, better, and more inclusive cycling conditions in the borough.” They recently launched their free Southwark Bike Buddies scheme designed to help new cyclists take to the streets.

VC Londres is a cycle racing club based in and around South East London for youths and adults. They run a number of sessions, both for our members and the general public, and with around 350 members are of the larger cycle clubs in London.

Wheels For Wellbeing is a wonderful London charity which supports non-traditional cyclists to discover the joy of cycling in London, regardless of any physical, health, mental or psychological barriers they may experience. Established in 2007, they offer regular off-road cycle sessions with a wide variety of standard and non-standard cycles, discovery sessions where they bring their modified cycles for people to try, along with offering essential expert advice and assistance.

No South London cycling guide would be complete without the Herne Hill Velodrome – our local iconic outdoor 450 metre cycle track and the only remaining venue still in use from the 1948 Olympic Games.
They provide a vital grassroots facility to the local community and cycling clubs. All cyclists are welcome, whatever their age or ability.
The Velodrome offers a wide range of sessions including: track training, track racing, road bike only, women only, youth only, MTB for kids and holiday clubs.

London Clarion Cycle Club is one of London’s oldest cycling clubs established in 1895. With over 120 across London the cycling club is primarily focussed on leisure cycling and cycle touring.
