THERE was a great result for Braintree Tennis Club's boys' 14 and under A team as they had a clean sweep at Wickham Bishops.
Braintree's team of William Parker, Nathan Miller, Harry Briffa and Matthew Stephenson won all of their six matches with a superb performance in hot conditions.
They lost just two sets, with a special mention going to Stephenson who kept his cool in a tough third-set decider to win on his A team debut.
Parker and Miller looked strong in both their matches and Briffa played well throughout.
Meanwhile, Braintree's under-14 girls also braved the heat at Wickham Bishops.
The team of Millie Davidsen and Aimee Barltrop won their doubles despite the soaring temperatures with a great result of 4-1, 5-3.
Wickham Bishops fought back in the singles matches, though, to win overall.
