A BRACKNELL karate club has been wearing pink belts to remind students of the power, strength, courage and determination shown by women.

Pupils and staff at Silwood Park Karate club decided to wear the belts in every lesson during the month of May instead of the traditional black belts.

Staff encouraged students to complete press-ups every time the word pink was mentioned and the students were also asked to make donations to buy the new belts.
