This luxurious, stylish and newly refurbished cottage is located in the village of Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), and only 2 1/2 miles from the historic market town of Ruthin. A perfect base if you are looking for an activity-packed holiday! Fforest Coaster at Zip World is an unbeatable adrenaline experience for ages 3 and over and only a 45 min drive. Penrhyn Slate Quarry, located near Bethesda in North Wales, is home to Zip World Velocity 2, the fastest zip line in the world and the longest in Europe. About an hours drive. Mountain Biking (including rentals) in Llandegla, just 20 minutes away. Nature walks within the Vale of Clwyd with our guide or in the Loggerheads Country Park. Also within walking distance of the Offa’s Dyke Path you are surrounded by history and wildlife. You can enjoy the beautiful Welsh Countryside walks yet are within travelling distance from the lovely Roman City of Chester (35 min) as well Liverpool (1hr) and Manchester (1:15hr). Please note we are a Travel Sustainable Level 1 property and are respectful of the environmental impact our property has, we operate an automated Heating System which is set to 21°c during the morning and evening times and it reverts to 18° between 11pm and 7am. We request that you respect these settings and only boost when you are feeling really cold. Being in Europe we expect the guests to dress warmly and not set the heating to 25° 24/7. Should you travel with an elderly person who is sensitive to the temperature please contact us before making the booking to arrange additional heating. Furthermore, we use Ring Doorbells which include a camera on the front and rear doors of our cottage, this is for the security of the cottage as well as that of our guests. There are no cameras inside the cottage.

Ty Gwyn is set in the Vale of Clwyd and at the bottom of the Clwydian Range, a series of hills in the north-east of Wales that runs from Llandegla in the south to Prestatyn in the north, the highest point being the popular Moel Famau which can be seen from the property.
