Osteospermum

Osteospermum is a relatively new addition to the world of gardening as it became only available in the early 1990s. With its Daisy-like flowers in a wide variety of colors, the osteospermum is a favorite among florists and gardeners.

Osteospermum

Planted singly or with other cool-season plants, these cheerful flowers make a bright display in fall or spring. Osteospermum is a genus of around 70 species[1] of annuals, perennials, and subshrubs.

Osteospermum Flower

They originate from the Arabian Peninsula and southern Africa. These plants are frost-sensitive subshrubs or perennial herbaceous that have daisy-like flowers on erect stems that can reach heights of up to 13 m.

Pale Pink Osteospermum Flowers

The stems are covered with lanceo-shaped green leaves with entire, lobed, or serrated edges. Each flower features a central disk of tiny tubular flowers surrounded by fertile ray blooms that resemble petals in a wide range of colors, including yellow, pink, and white.
