'I play to win, that's what the whole point is'

Nora Newton, an 80-year-old bowler from the village of Lazonby, Cumbria, says she will be going “all out to win” after reaching the final of a national competition.

Nora, who represents Eden Indoor Bowls Club, in Penrith, will travel to Dorset for the "Champion of Champions" event.

She will be competing against players from across the UK - some of whom could be more than 60 years younger than she is.
