Steps down to the beach at Durdle Door on Dorset's Jurassic Coast are set to close for a week to be repaired.

Rangers from Lulworth Estate said that, following the vast amount of heavy rain over the winter, the steps had become damaged and covered in clay.

The flight of steps down to the beach will shut from 22 to 26 April.

The estate's ranger team said the viewpoint for the famous limestone was unaffected and neighbouring Man O' War beach would still be accessible.

In February, several large boulders fell from cliffs onto the beach and steps after heavy rainfall.
