We normally run two training courses a year, one covering two weekends and the other over 12 Thursday evenings.
We teach RYA level 1 and 2 combined, this will give you the basic skills for sailing in good weather.

Laser Picos - Single Handers
Laser Bahia - Double Handers
LEVEL 1
Start Sailing
Taught over a full weekend, this course is for complete beginners. Learn how to sail in all directions and awareness of launching and recovery.
When you have completed this course you will still need to be supervised whilst sailing.
LEVEL 2
Basic Skills
Taught over a full weekend, this course will build your confidence and give you the skills needed to sail and make decisions in good conditions.
Once completed you will be able to launch and recover a dinghy and be able to sail without supervision.
YOUTH COURSES
Levels 1-4
The Youth Sailing scheme is usually completed in small dinghies suitable for the size of the sailor. Our expert instructors offer a safe environment for children to have fun, learn and challenge themselves.
The training course fee includes our annual membership and use of club boats, so it really is good value. This gives you the chance to continue sailing using the basic skills acquired on the course.

If you would like a trial sail before you sign up for a course please get in touch or come along to the next open day and weather permitting we’ll try and get you out on the water with some of our instructors and more experienced sailors.

CLUB RACING
Club racing takes place every Sunday morning weather permitting and is a great fun way to increase sailing ability very quickly. Although there is racing at the club you don’t have to take part, leisure sailing can be done along side the racers.
There is a friendly competitive league table with prizes for many categories.
