With Brian Haule out injured, Gareth Price on holiday and with Adam Logie, Jamie Rudd and Ollie Hogg all unavailable, Robert Tomlin dropped to the bench and was replaced at Right Back by Henry Clark, Davis Haule started in midfield along with Aston Goss whilst Lynton Goss was also brought into an attacking looking line up along with Sean Sonner and Danny Burnell.

Despite the heat the game was actually played at a good pace with regular water breaks being allowed by the officials. It was the home side that took the lead on 29 minutes when they opened the scoring from a corner slightly against the run of play. Sean Sonner and Danny Burnell, as ever were linking well in the FC attack and soon after the goal a through ball from Sonner found Burnell on the left, his cross found Aston Goss but his weak shot hit the outside of the post. Soon after and The Moles were level when a one two on the edge of the box between Burnell and Lynton Goss left Goss int he box 10 yards out and he slotted home for the equaliser. There were further chances for the away side as the half drew to a close the best being a Bradley Wadkins half volley from 25 yards which the keeper managed to palm around the post.

The second half saw the introduction of winger Kerran Lataille and Robert Tomlin and Lataille had an immediate impsct when his cross from the right found Burnell in the box but he couldn't keep his header down. On the hour Amptill again took the lead when a wonder stike from 30 yards beat James Weatherill and the home team were again in the lead but two minutes later FC again fought back when Conner Baker met a Daniel Murphy corner and buried it into the back of the net. The scoring though hadn't ended and Ampthill again took the lead with 10 minutes to go when a Danny Gordon clearance cannoned off the advancing stiker into the Aylesbury net but again FC came straight back as Sean Sonner got the ball on the left edge of the box, turned the defender and fired a left foot curling shot past the keeper and into the top of the goal to again bring the Moles back level.
