runus glandulosa 'Alba Plena', commonly known as the Dwarf Flowering Almond or Dwarf Double White Flowering Almond, is a deciduous shrub belonging to the Rosaceae family. It is a popular ornamental plant in gardens and landscapes due to its beautiful, showy flowers and compact size. This cultivar typically grows to a height of 1.5 to 2.5 meters and a spread of 1.5 to 2 meters. The plant has a dense, rounded form and features glossy, dark green leaves that turn yellow in the fall. In early spring, before the leaves emerge, the shrub produces an abundance of double, pure white flowers, which cover the branches and create a stunning display. The flowers are highly fragrant and attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Prunus glandulosa 'Alba Plena' prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It is easy to care for and requires only occasional pruning to maintain its shape and promote new growth.
