High School Roundup: Career night for Lincoln's Wayne McNamara, Cam DiChiara

BOYS BASKETBALL

Division II

Lincoln 96, PCD 41

Camden DiChiara and Wayne McNamara continue to light up the scoreboard as Lincoln blew past PCD in D-II. DiChiara scored 32 points, including 6 buckets from beyond the 3-point arc, and McNamara scored 26 points with 2 treys. The pair both reached the 1,000-point career milestone in the victory. Josh Bergeron added 12 points in the win, all coming as a result of 4 threes. The Lions raced out to a 44-point halftime lead and never looked back. Spencer Jarebek topped PCD in scoring with 16 points. With the victory, Lincoln moves to 7-0 overall, 4-0 in league play, tied atop the conference standings with Burrillville.

Hope 46, Toll Gate 35

Shaun Almeida and Dariel Genao Encarnacion each reached double-figured for the Blue Wave as they topped the Titans in Division II play. Toll Gate stayed in the game thanks to Dylan Perreault who scored a team-best 15 points.

Nonleague

North Kingstown 56, Pilgrim 48

Michael DeOrsey poured in 21 points to help pave the way for North Kingstown's win over Pilgrim. Trent Sterner also contributed to the victory as he scored 11 points. Both players had two three-pointers apiece and the Skippers knocked down 8 treys overall. Dylan Vale led the Patriots in scoring with 17 points and Carter Clifton and Ian Laplume were good for 8 points each in the loss.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Division II

Coventry 52, Mt. Hope 49

Lifted by the play of Gracie Colicchio and Tori Healey, Coventry scored in double digits in all four quarters and escaped with a win over Mt. Hope in a D-II crossover. Colicchio scored a game-high 21 points and Healey chipped in with a dozen more. Leading the way for the Huskies in the loss were Elsa White with 16 points and Lilly DaSilveira and Emily Moran with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
