We aced the pitch for Ilkley Lawn Tennis & Squash Club [ILTSC] in 2015 when the club needed an agency to work alongside them for a prestigious new event, the Aegon Ilkley Trophy. A successful Trophy would help ILTSC showcase its credentials as an exceptional host venue for high calibre professional sports events and our brief was to help them to achieve that.

Ilkley was the newest addition to the international Men’s ATP Challenger and the Women’s ITF Pro Circuit Tours, which attract world-class players and rising stars. The 140-year old club is the only venue in Yorkshire with the quality of grass courts and level of facilities required to host a competition of this scale.

We have been proud to retain the work on the

Ilkley Trophy, being part of an event that is continually growing in both size and stature. Now in its sixth year, the sell-out event regularly receives international, national and regional coverage across print, broadcast and online.  Our on-site press office offers a space for journalists and photographers as well as live broadcasts from visiting radio stations and TV.  In 2019, there were at least 135 pieces of editorial in relation to the Ilkley Trophy, reaching an estimated 317k people

As well as traditional PR, we also run the club’s social media feeds ahead of and throughout the tournament. Posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram during the 2019 Ilkley Trophy, including 31 post match interviews with players recorded by us, were seen 298,783 times receiving 28,383 engagements.
